This explains what Load'Em collects, why, and what you can do about it. Elcolynx (registration number 2025/620159/07), a private company registered in South Africa, is the responsible party.
The short version: your firearm and reloading records are yours. We do not sell them, we do not share them with advertisers, and there are no ad networks in this app.
What we collect
Things you enter
Your account email and display name, and the records you create: firearms, licences and their photos, optics, reloading recipes, batches, inventory, groups and ballistic profiles. Licence photos are stored so you can produce the card when needed.
Things collected automatically
Basic usage analytics (which screens are opened, whether a subscription was started) and crash reports containing device model, operating system version and a stack trace. These are used to fix faults and to understand which features earn their place. They are not used to build an advertising profile.
Things we never collect
We do not collect your contacts, your messages, or continuous location. The app uses your location only if you ask for local weather while shooting, and that lookup is not stored against your account.
Who processes data for us

We never receive your full card number. Payment details go to the payment processor, not to us.
Where your data lives
Records are stored on your device first, so the app works offline, and synced to Firebase servers so they survive a lost phone and reach your other devices. That means data may be processed outside South Africa, under the contractual protections those providers offer.
How long we keep it
For as long as your account exists. Delete your account and the associated records are removed, other than what we must retain for tax and accounting purposes (billing records, typically five years).
Your rights
You can access and correct your data in the app, export all of it as CSV, Excel or PDF, and ask for your account and data to be deleted. Email [email protected] and we will action deletion within 30 days. Under POPIA you may also complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa.
Children
Load'Em is not intended for anyone under 18.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will say so in the app or by email. The date at the top always reflects the current version.
